Getting started
Make your first QR code

- Sign in and go to Your codes.
- Select New QR code.
- Fill in the details:
- Name: what the code is for, such as "Delegate badges" or "Stand B12 sponsor board". This is only for you. People scanning never see it.
- Event (optional): the event it belongs to. Codes with the same event are grouped together.
- Notes (optional): anything you want to remember, such as the print run or where the code appears.
- Under Where it goes, enter the Web address people should land on. It must be a full address starting with
https://. - Choose how it looks: colours, dot shape, a logo or word in the middle, and a caption. See Design your code.
- Select Create QR code.

Once it's saved, you can download the artwork as SVG or PNG (and EPS for plain codes).
How a dynamic code works
The pattern in your QR code holds a short link, such as qr4events.co.uk/q/x7k2pq. When someone scans it, we count the scan and send them straight on to your web address.
Because the printed pattern only contains the short link, you can change where it goes at any time, and nothing needs reprinting.
Important
Always test-scan your artwork before a print run.
