Your codes
Design your code: colours, logos, words and captions
Every plan includes all the design options. Your changes show in the preview as you make them.

Colours and shapes
- Dots and Background: pick a colour, or type a hex code such as
#0a1120. - Dot shape: Square, Rounded or Dots.
- Corner shape: Square, Round, or Same as the dots.
- Transparent background: the code takes on the colour of whatever it's printed on. The preview shows a checkerboard behind it.
In the middle
- Logo: upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG (up to 1 MB), then set its size with the slider. Large pictures are made smaller in your browser before they're uploaded. Your logos are saved in your library, so you can use them on other codes, and you can keep up to 50.
- Text: a word of up to 12 characters, such as TICKETS or VOTE, in a colour you choose. Shorter words show bigger.
Adding a logo or text covers part of the pattern, so the builder turns error correction up to High for you.
Caption
Add a call to action of up to 40 characters, such as "Scan for the programme". Put it Below or Above the code, in a colour you choose.
Print settings
- Error correction: how much of the code can be covered or damaged and still scan. Low (7%), Medium (15%, the default), Quartile (25%) or High (30%). Higher means a denser pattern.
- Quiet zone: the plain margin around the code. 4 is the standard. Don't go below 2.
Warnings
The builder warns you about anything that might stop a code scanning: low contrast, light dots on a dark background, a transparent background, a small quiet zone, or a large logo. You can still save, but test-scan the download first.
