# Use your own domain for short links

On a custom plan, your codes can use your own domain, so a short link reads like `qr.yourcompany.com/q/x7k2pq` instead of `qr4events.co.uk/q/x7k2pq`.

## How it works

1. [Talk to us](https://qr4events.co.uk/contact) about a custom plan, and tell us the address you'd like to use. A subdomain such as `qr.yourcompany.com` is easiest.
2. We'll send you a DNS record to add with whoever manages your domain.
3. Once it's working, we switch your account over. Your dashboard shows **Short links on** and your domain in **Plan & billing**.

Only your own codes work on your domain.

 Important

Codes printed with your domain depend on it. Keep the domain registered, and keep the DNS record in place. If the domain stops pointing to us, those codes stop working.

Decide on your domain **before** you print. Codes already printed with the qr4events.co.uk address keep that address.
